Less than a week ago, my bf and I were fooling around ie I was touching him, he was touching me. As I was touching him, I noticed that a very small amount of pre ejaculatory fluid ( at the most 3 or 4 drops worth) was on him and the majority of it ended up on my hand and I continued doing what I was doing to him, and probably evenly spread it on him. NOW, this is where the problems start.
He corrected me on how to touch him, and he ended touching himself briefly – I can’t remember if the fluid on him was dry at this point or not. His hand, however, was still fairly wet from touching me (Sorry for the gory details but I feel they’re necessary in order to get the advise I need). Then, he touched me again. And I idiotically didn’t think about what the possible consequences could be at the time, and didn’t stop him. So I have no idea whether or not any of his fluid ended on inside me or not, or if it did, how dry it was, and if there was any sperm left alive by that time depending on how dry it was. (I do realize that there is at least SOME sperm in pre ejaculatory fluid.)
Now, comes the real question. Two days later, I started having ovulation pain – which both surprised and terrified me at the same time because this was my first month of birth control pills. (although now I realize through research that they cannot be depended upon in the first month for protection. Then, later that day, I started my period. And normally my periods last 9 days (which really is the reason why I started birth control pills in the first place, to stop from building up such a heafty uterine lining.) Any way – sorry that was such a long story – but what’s your opinion? I’m really worried about what may happen now since I don’t really know how much got in me, and especially since I ovulated two days later. Do you think my long period – and starting up my second month of birth control pills will prevent pregnancy?
Well I know for certain that I was ovulating because there was cervical mucous mixed in with my menstruation blood and also I had pain that was coming from my left side – presumably from my left ovary which lasted about two days. Now, I’m still having my period.

1 if your period started, then it was not ovulation pain, but something else probably related to your period.
2.if your period started, then you are not pregnant because what your period consists of is shedding the lining of the womb/uterus which must be there for a pregnancy to occur there.
Less certain is that despite your detailed description, the chances of a few sperm getting into under those circumstances and getting you pregnant are very low – pregnancy isn’t guaranteed each time when the sperm are squirted into the right space where there are millions of sperm involved.

If you’ve started your period, and you did all of what you said above before getting it, then it means that you did not become pregnant. So you should be able to relax. Sperm can last up to 5 days inside the female body, and up to 1 day outside of the body. But I don’t think that you will ovulate again so soon. And most of it will be flushed out by the menstrual blood.
